Digital Electricity Meters (Static)Most Common
Digital meters automatically scroll through various metrics on their LCD screen. You need to wait for the correct screen code to note down your reading.
- Wait for the display to show the number 01 or kWh on the far left or top.
- This is your current total accumulated reading in kilo-Watt-hours.
- Ignore any completely trailing numbers that might be after a decimal point (if present).
- To find your monthly usage, subtract last month's reading (found on your previous physical bill) from the current number you just read.
Analog Gas Meters (Sui Gas)
Gas meters read volume in cubic meters (M³) or cubic feet.
Odometer Display: Read the numbers from Left to Right.
Ignore the numbers on the far right that might be highlighted in red or red bordering—those are testing dials (decimals).
